Dear Mr./Ms. Editor.

I am writing to express interest in the Phase 12 and Phase 13 EBSCO
Publishing projects. As a business reporter and former high school
English teacher, I believe I have the skills to contribute to either set
of articles.
I have been a staff reporter for publications around the country, a
teacher who has worked in K-12, college and adult education settings, a
music promoter who has helped clients attract media attention from
newspapers and radio stations nationwide and a freelance
writer whose recent work has appeared in national magazines.

My varied background also includes time as a Teach for America
corps member and as a student at Columbia University’s Graduate School
of Journalism, where I earned a master’s degree.

As for my professional writing credentials, I have more than 15 years
of reporting experience as a freelancer and staff writer at
publications including The Dallas Morning News and the

Orlando Sentinel. Most recently, I have been working on stories
scheduled for publication by magazines, newspapers and blogs
including SUCCESS, Eating Well, Poets & Writers, the St. Louis
Post-Dispatch and School & Community.
Please let me know if you need additional information to consider me
for assignments.Meanwhile, I  have included a link to my resume. You can find writing samples at: http://charleneoldham.com/writing-samples/ should you be interested.
Best,
Charlene Oldham
